Manav and Archana to marry in Pavitra Rishta

I have been watching episodes after episodes of Pavitra Rishta hoping that Manav and Archana will get together finally. And today's episode (12th November 2010) finally had the twist. With Jayvant's truth being revealed (yet again) and Shravani opting out from the wedding (she 'allowed' Manav to marry Archana), the serial was worth watching today. I hope now there's no more stretching in the story.

Pavitra Rishta's Archana slaps Dharmesh!

Now the 7th October episode of Pavitra Rishta was full of drama, emotions and action. Archana has had enough and when she discovers that she had been cheated into signing a declaration against Manav, she loses her temper and how. It's weird how Dharmesh justifies the action. The heat rises in presence of the entire extended family (Satish and Jayvant's families as well). It reaches to a point when Darmesh questions and insults Archana's existing relation with Manav and she slaps him tight. Of course, that calls for a walkout by Dharmesh, Satish and Jayvant's families.

Later, Archana's mother Sulochana reprimands her. Archana is heartbroken and decides to support the innocent Manav.

Jhansi Ki Rani on Zee TV

Will Manu disclose her identity in the 29th June episode of Zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani?

For some reason, I am hooked on to the Jhansi Ki Rani Show on Zee TV. I have been watching the serial from day 1 and am very impressed with the casting and the execution of the show. The young girl portraying the Rani Lakshmi Bai character (Ulka Gupta) acted brilliantly and the new female (Manu's older version Kritika Sengar) smoothly took over the role since recently.

Now, Manu / Jhansi Ki Rani has saved the King and Tatya Tope has advised her to reveal her identity for the benefit of Jhansi. Will she or won't she? Well, let's wait and watch in the 29th June episode.

Sari sale in Taarak Mehtra serial

The latest episode of Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma touches the shopping habit of women. To be precise, it focuses on the way most of us are attracted to sales and discounts. So Anjali Mehta's friend tells her about this sari sale and she shares the news with the Gokuldham society women. What follows is a khatta-meeta account of how these women try to convince their husbands and get some money! And after being able to do so, they are all set to visit the sari shop and make the most of the discounts. But will they? Let's wait and watch,

Choti Bahu's Vishakha tries to kill Radhika

Vishakha had crossed all her limits long back. But this time Vishakha tried to kill Radhika! Thankfully Dev appeared in the nick of the time to save Radhika. He dragged Vishakha out of the house in presence of the entire family. Think Radhika can now be happy? Well, now she is being blamed for lying about her first marriage with Dev and protecting Vishakha!

Rona dhona and all the drama

As if the summer was not sweltering enough, the rona dhona in almost all the TV serials is adding to our irritation. The sorrow surrounding Ichha's bidaai in Uttaran is sadly comparable to Ranvir's vanvaas (exile) in Bidaai. The Sid-or-Armaan husband-dilemma faced by Riddhima of Dill Mill Gayye competes with the dilemma faced by Maithili and Bhairavi in Do Saheliyaan!

I am glad there's SAB TV to relieve us... kyunki asli laughter aur entertainment aajkal toh sab ke saath hi hota hai!

Now Laali makes a sacrifice in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo!

What's with the sacrificing and compromising trend in Hindi television serials these days? Already Archana of Pavitra Rishta has easily qualified to become the television actress with maximum sacrifices to her credit. And now that for some reason I am hooked to Zee TV serials along with my favorite SAB TV, almost all the soaps are gradually focusing on sacrifices / compromises made by women. Be it Simi of 12/24 Karol Bagh or Archana and Vandita of Pavitra Rishta, every serial is currently on a similar track.

Now in the 31st March episode of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, it is Kaushalya who shoots Mukul and accidentally even Ratna. But Laali takes the blame upon herself and tells the police that she's the culprit. Kaushalya looks on in disbelief but does not utter a word! Why? Coz Laali made her 'swear' that she'll not reveal the truth! I hope to see Kaushalya confessing the crime. Let's wait and watch!

Height of sorrow in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta

Somehow I started watching Pavitra Rishta regularly, a serial that was well-received during the award shows. However, isn't there too much sorrow happening in the show now? If Vandita's misery was not enough, Manav is facing problems with his garage, the sole source of his household income.

As always, Archana is still sacrificing. And now Archana too is being asked to leave the house. Ever since I have started watching Pavitra Rishta, there hasn't been a single episode without some sad stuff. I really wanna watch the show, but if this dukh-dard continues for a few more days, I'll opt for some other show.

Armaan is back, will Riddhima stay with Sid?

After a super long wait, and just when we had accepted that Armaan won't return in Dill Mill Gayye, he comes back all set to meet her Riddhima. This happens exactly when after much complications, Sid and Riddhima decide to work on their relationship. I'm sure DMG's TRPs must have shot up. But now will Riddhima stay with Sid or will Rids and Armaan get back together? What do you think?

Anandi of Balika Vadhu is dead

The March 11 episode of Balika Vadhu just ended. The most frequently asked questions all this week by all those who follow television serials have been "Will Anandi die?" and "Is Anandi dead?" And to everyone's shock Anandi (real name Avika Gor, aka bindani in the serial) was declared dead by the doctor.

In the previous episode of Balika Vadhu, Anandi comes in front of her husband Jaggya (aka Jagdish) to save him as he's about to be shot. In the process, the bullet hits her right in the center of her forehead. What follows today is the super-extended result - Anandi being rushed to the hospital, her mother-in-law, dadisa, gehna and her parents being informed of her condition being critical and the doctors rubbing her palms and feet as the last hope to save her. Towards the end of the episode, the doctor declares Anandi dead.

Now we have to see:
1 - Whether in the next episode the story takes a twist - Anandi goes into coma and returns after her exams in real life (as per the rumor mills)
2 - Whether another little actress replaces Avika Gor as perhaps she has another exciting project in hand
3 - Whether the popular Colors serial comes to an end

As I always say, let's wait and watch!

Tarak Mehta Serial - Republic Day Special

I try to watch SAB TV's Tarak Mehta Ka Ulta Chashma regularly. It's one serial that's not just lighthearted but also spreads good values and subtly inculcates the feeling how unity leads to happiness. Tarak Mehta never misses out on any festival or topical subject. Every episode ends on a strong note teaching us something yet the serial makers manage to keep the episodes far from boredom. They have somehow managed to achieve a perfect balance.

So there was this Republic Day special episode on 27th January with Gokuldham society members keen to read their vaktavya on India and the children singing patriotic song. Can't wait to watch the next episode!

Are Armaan and Riddhima getting back together?

I was a regular follower of Dill Mill Gayye. I remember how in all my SEO, SMO presentations to my content team I used to give the example of DMG. But that was until quite a few months back. With Armaan and Rids suddenly disappearing from the Star One serial, the show has become rather uninteresting. But yesterday's episode (26th January 2010) might have increased the TRP of the show.

With Riddhima confronting her father Dr Shashank and with Armaan's secret being unveiled, DMG made a good move. I would really want to watch if Riddhima could manage to find Armaan now. And I presume Dill Mill Gayye will attract its lost audiences for at least some more time now. As I always say, let's wait and watch.

Love Ne Milla Di Typical Kahaani

How I loved the Star One serial Love Ne Milla Di Jodi and used to refer it to all I know! But off late the show makers have added these three new characters, typical of the typical kinda serials I don't like to watch. So now there is this Masi (aunt) and two cousins who are ruining the happiness of the Saxena brothers, Gujral sisters and the audiences.

Where's all the class and style of the serial disappeared? Now there's this poisoning, badla, jealousy, trying-to-divide-the-family and all. I just hope they send these characters back and make the show as atypical as it was before. C'mon there has been too much sorrow in Love Ne Milla Di Jodi all this while.
