Manav and Archana to marry in Pavitra Rishta

I have been watching episodes after episodes of Pavitra Rishta hoping that Manav and Archana will get together finally. And today's episode (12th November 2010) finally had the twist. With Jayvant's truth being revealed (yet again) and Shravani opting out from the wedding (she 'allowed' Manav to marry Archana), the serial was worth watching today. I hope now there's no more stretching in the story.

Jhansi Ki Rani on Zee TV

Will Manu disclose her identity in the 29th June episode of Zee TV's Jhansi Ki Rani?

For some reason, I am hooked on to the Jhansi Ki Rani Show on Zee TV. I have been watching the serial from day 1 and am very impressed with the casting and the execution of the show. The young girl portraying the Rani Lakshmi Bai character (Ulka Gupta) acted brilliantly and the new female (Manu's older version Kritika Sengar) smoothly took over the role since recently.

Now, Manu / Jhansi Ki Rani has saved the King and Tatya Tope has advised her to reveal her identity for the benefit of Jhansi. Will she or won't she? Well, let's wait and watch in the 29th June episode.

Choti Bahu's Vishakha tries to kill Radhika

Vishakha had crossed all her limits long back. But this time Vishakha tried to kill Radhika! Thankfully Dev appeared in the nick of the time to save Radhika. He dragged Vishakha out of the house in presence of the entire family. Think Radhika can now be happy? Well, now she is being blamed for lying about her first marriage with Dev and protecting Vishakha!

Now Laali makes a sacrifice in Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo!

What's with the sacrificing and compromising trend in Hindi television serials these days? Already Archana of Pavitra Rishta has easily qualified to become the television actress with maximum sacrifices to her credit. And now that for some reason I am hooked to Zee TV serials along with my favorite SAB TV, almost all the soaps are gradually focusing on sacrifices / compromises made by women. Be it Simi of 12/24 Karol Bagh or Archana and Vandita of Pavitra Rishta, every serial is currently on a similar track.

Now in the 31st March episode of Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo, it is Kaushalya who shoots Mukul and accidentally even Ratna. But Laali takes the blame upon herself and tells the police that she's the culprit. Kaushalya looks on in disbelief but does not utter a word! Why? Coz Laali made her 'swear' that she'll not reveal the truth! I hope to see Kaushalya confessing the crime. Let's wait and watch!

Height of sorrow in Zee TV's Pavitra Rishta

Somehow I started watching Pavitra Rishta regularly, a serial that was well-received during the award shows. However, isn't there too much sorrow happening in the show now? If Vandita's misery was not enough, Manav is facing problems with his garage, the sole source of his household income.

As always, Archana is still sacrificing. And now Archana too is being asked to leave the house. Ever since I have started watching Pavitra Rishta, there hasn't been a single episode without some sad stuff. I really wanna watch the show, but if this dukh-dard continues for a few more days, I'll opt for some other show.

Dev marries Radhika in Choti Bahu, last episode of November

In Choti Bahu, Radhika had suffered 50% burns as she was trapped in the fire that broke out on her wedding day. In the November 30 episode, Radhika must now undergo a surgery due to her critical condition. Shastriji and Devaki are obviously shattered and wonder that even if Radhika recovers will Dev still marry her. Thankfully, Dev overhears their conversation and makes a big decision.

He goes to Radhika and convinces her that he genuinely loves her. Dev then completes the marriage ritual by applying sindoor (vermilion) on Radhika's forehead.

Later, when Radhika is being taken to the operation theatre, everyone notices the sindoor on her forehead. While Shastriji, Devaki and even Vishakha are pleased, Ammaji is highly disappointed.

Will Radhika's operation turn out to be successful? Does Ammaji have another plan up her sleeve? Let's watch the December episodes of Choti Bahu to find out.

Aapki Antara: Antara's brother Abhishek is in danger

The 26th October episode of Aapki Antara is quite dramatic. After much contemplation, Aditya decides to use his savings for Antara's treatment instead of repaying the loan. Though I don?t understand why he didn't consider that he has taken a loan from a goon and he might land into trouble.

Now, Aditya, Vidya and Antara are out of the house and little Abhishek is alone at home. And then, the angry goons turn up at his house. They rudely ask Abhishek about Aditya's whereabouts and make him talk to Aditya over the phone. Aditya is shocked to know that the goons have entered his house when Abhishek is all alone. Now what? Don't miss the next episode of Aapki Antara. It might be a turning point of the Zee TV serial.

It’s all about exposing in television serials on September 14 2009

TV serials Bidaai and Pavitra Rishta of September 14 2009 added to the list of serials that happen to cover a similar incident on the same day. Well height of coincidence or whatever, with the burgeoning number of television serials across the ever-increasing number of TV channels, what else can you expect!

In the Star Plus serial Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai (on September 14), Ranvir decides to expose Vasundhara and he’s all set with a plan. On the other hand, Ambika who actually killed Ranvir’s grandfather is up to something as well. It’s the high point of the serial when the truth about the murder of Ranvir’s grandfather is to be revealed.

On the same day, in Zee TV serial Pavitra Rishta, Manav vows to expose Ajit after discovering that he’s the one responsible of tarnishing Archana’s image. But Ajit too is up to something and has a proper plan in place to save himself.

Well, such coincidences continue to amuse me. Let’s see what’s next!

Zee TV serial Shree’s Kangna is one lucky person

Pray you become Kangna (of Zee TV’s Shree fame) in your next birth. Kangna, an evil soul though, has the power to enter and rule anyone's body! In fact, she can even trap a person in a mannequin. This is one ‘horror’ serial I can actually watch.

The popular show Shree though has an interesting concept and they really know how to keep people really glued to the serial.

Shree and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan all about ashes on August 26

It’s a surprising coincident when two serials of the same channel cover the same theme on a particular day. And I am not talking about topical events like festivals. Earlier I had written about Star Plus TV serials Hamari Devrani and Burey Bhi Hum Bhale Bhi Hum. In their April 23 episode, these two serials had a similar event happening – people were planning to exchange the real ornaments with fake ones.
And now it’s Zee TV’s turn. In their August 26 episode, both the serials Shree and Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan revolve around ashes! In Betiyaan, Janvi manages to find Ammaji’s ashes and decides to perform Ammaji’s last rites. On the same day, Shree accidentally drops the bottle containing Kangna’s ashes and Kangna comes back!

Chhoti Bahu’s Radhika finally agrees to marry Dev

Radhika tries to convince Vishakha to return to Dev. But Vishakha insults Dev’s family and readily signs the divorce papers. After being convinced that Vishakha will never return now, Radhika decides to marry Dev.
